Our principal, Selwyn Favish, has over 30 years’ experience as a financial planner, starting out in his native South Africa before settling here in Australia with his wife in 1987 and establishing the forerunner of Cornerstone. Over the many years since, he has built a strong practice based in Melbourne and a long-term relationship with many clients around the country.

 

At first, Selwyn did act as an agent for a large financial institution. But he soon became disenchanted with the endless chain of mergers and takeovers that changed the face of his practice and was frustrated in his attempts to give his clients forthright advice and the best products, regardless of head-office policy.

 

Inevitably, this led to him striking out independently with Cornerstone Financial Planning. Throughout his career, Selwyn has always been trusted and valued by our loyal clients for his thoroughly dependable, ethical advice and pro-active service. You’re more than welcome to ask for some references.
